Hi, I’m Glenn Sharp from Sharp Accounting and we’re back with ‘Ask Sharpy’.
My business isn’t working for me, what should I do?
The first thing that we would normally delve into with clients in this situation is to bring you back to the main reasons why you got into business.
Most people when they first stat a business will ave an idea what they want it to look like after 6 or 12 months. But after the daily grind, the weekly grind, its become something completely different.
Our job is to focus you back on:
What it is you really want to get out for your business.
Why it was you got into business.
What you can do to bring it back to what you really want it to be.
We’ll focus you on working on your business rather than working in it to help you bring it back to what you really want it to be.
Firstly, you should write down all the reasons why you got into business in the first place.
I think what you’ll find is that the reasons you got into business and what you wanted to establish out of your business the lifestyle you want to create out of your business is completely different to what your business currently is.
Write down what it is you really want to get our of your business.
Second, we create a plan that will set you back on the right path. A strategic plan that will put in place some steps to bring your current business back to what you want it to be and what you wanted it to be in the first place.
If you feel like your business is heading in the wrong direction and this question really resonates with you, reach out to us and we can help put a plan in place to help you bring your business back to where it would like to be.
